How did I get here?

SUMMARY STATEMENT

I am fortunate to have learned from some of the best and brightest in several industries and to have spent my formative years as a professional working in one of the greatest restaurants in the United States, Commander's Palace in New Orleans. It was then that I learned what traditional southern hospitality meant to the clientele of that historic institution and there that I would discover many things about the person I would become over the next decade. I forged lifelong friendship, met mentors and inspirational leaders, developed skills that continue serving me well to this day; all while trying to have a bit of fun in the process! I look forward to continuing to grow my social and professional networks by meeting with like-minded individuals and organizations.

Compliance Examiners perform a sophisticated analysis of the strength of the underlying business of state-chartered banks. They assess the risk associated with various components of a bank's financial condition including but not limited to: Capital adequacy, Assets Quality, Management Capability, Earnings, Liquidity (also called asset liability management), and Sensitivity (sensitivity to market risk, especially interest rate risk)

Bank examiners receive a broad base of exposure to the numerous products, activities, and management styles and practices in banking. Examiners do not get “pigeon-holed,” they learn to understand how the different departments of the bank function together. Experienced examiners have tremendous analytical ability in the areas of bank performance and credit evaluation. Most examiners can give real, personal experiences of why it is important to analyze beyond the numbers. Examiners can hone their management skills, while serving as the Examiner-in-Charge, overseeing and being responsible for the examination.
